CC09 1940s Bra
You can't get more period correct than our CC09 Bra which is based on a CC41 1940s Bra pattern.
Our CC09 Bra is based on a CC41 1940s bra and we've kept the design as authentic as possible. The shoulder straps are made from non stretch ribbon, just as they were in the '40s. Minimal elastic is used: just a little section at the back. We've even designed our own CC09 label inspired by the iconic CC41 label.
There is minimal stretch to the band of our CC09 1940s bra which makes sizing critical. At What Katie Did we use traditional bra sizing where your underbust measurement is different to your band size, as opposed to the newer 'true size' bra sizing used by bigger cup specialists. Please refer to our Lingerie Sizing page for more info.
The main satin of our CC09 1940s bra is 100% polyester and there is a thin trim on 100% nylon denier at the bottom of the cup. It's made in India in the same factory as most of our other collections.
